Special Assembly for Grade 10

Grade 10 recently hosted an insightful assembly titled What’s Your Plan?, aimed at encouraging students to start thinking about their future paths, exploring diverse opportunities, and understanding that there are many ways to achieve their dreams.

  • Career School, College, University, or Military: The assembly highlighted various post-education paths, emphasizing that success is not limited to a single route. Students explored:

    • Career Schools: Hands-on training programs for specialized trades such as mechanics, culinary arts, or technology.
    • Two-Year Colleges: A stepping stone for students aiming for associate degrees, skill development, or transferring to universities.
    • Four-Year Universities: Traditional higher education offering bachelor’s degrees and access to diverse academic and extracurricular opportunities.
    • Military Careers: Serving the nation while gaining skills, discipline, and leadership opportunities.
  • Our Story: Alumni and older students shared their personal journeys, describing the paths they chose and the challenges they faced. Their stories showcased the importance of passion, planning, and perseverance.

  • Interactive Vision Boards: Students created their own vision boards during the assembly, displaying their aspirations and potential career paths, sparking inspiration and a sense of direction.

  • Motivational Message: The session ended with the message that no matter the path chosen—be it vocational training, higher education, or service—each journey is valuable and unique. What matters most is setting goals, working hard, and believing in oneself.
